This months newsletter covers the meeting held on the 21’st of March at Jonathan’s Restaurant in Port Angeles. A change was necessary due to administrative developments requiring a new venue for a meeting place. There had been several requests to change the meetings to accommodate those members who were not retired and could not attend meetings in the early afternoon. The Home Owners Association conference room was not available for our use at a later time necessitating the change. Joshua’s restaurant was a success with seven club members attending and all but one ordered a meal. All attendees reported approval of changing the venue to a restaurant but would like a location in Sequim. Several suggested  the Dynasty restaurant so I will see if I can schedule this location for the next meeting.

The president mentioned the possibility of moving our operations to the paved runway at some date in the future due to the possibility of hangar construction at our present location. We discussed the procedures required and safety mitigations we would have to adopt to put in place to operate there. More to come on this subject.

We also discussed the Airport Manager’s offer to allow the use of the airport’s commercial mowers for the upkeep of our field. He will teach someone designated to mow at a date soon.

With nothing new to add, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 19:00 hrs.
